The game was sort of launched as like a community thing almost, where those already in the know and paying attention who are an active part of the GT community were rewarded. But yeah it is mainly the same people consistently doing that sort of stuff. There are a small number of creators on the likes of Twitter and DeviantArt that are constantly making new fanart. For FP2, however, the whole release seems to have gone in basically stealth mode, both in official channels and the fan stuff. ![]() I'm not saying if fan works are good or bad, but they produce ripples which people notice giving the game more exposure. Just crunching some cold hard numbers here and sharing some concerns. I'm also not advertising anything, especially the imageboards, given the nature of most content posted there. ![]() To be clear, in no way am I trying to diminish the efforts of fans and their creations. If you take the infamous "monosodium glutamate" imageboard (if you know, you know), there were just 82 new FP-tagged pictures posted since the game release out of 1700+ present on site total. However, there was hardly a bump if any at all. Normally, you'd expect such an event to produce a noticeable wave of fan content on all channels, given the new lore and characters. As a very bright example, if you go to, say, fanfiction(dot)net, you'd find out that FP series has 6 pages worth of stuff, yet NONE was posted or even updated since Feb 2022, which was a year ago and 7 months before the release of FP2 in Sep 2022. For FP2 the situation honestly doesn't look so good, and most of the stuff actually predates the release. While it's admittedly an unreliable indicator, one can use the amount of fan work present, like fanart or fics (yes, yes, including THAT type of stuff) to check how active the fandom is. The only reason I ever found out about it? One of my friends bought it on Steam like 2-3 months after release, and I saw it on a "Recent Activity" tab which I only checked out of pure boredom.Īnother thing. Q: The Crystals are acting funny on the Mac Version!Ī: We suspect Brevon is behind this.Yea, I feel like FP2 is quite heavily overlooked, even though it's a very solid fun game. You can also try turning V-Sync on or off in the settings as well to see how this affects performance. Auto typically works for most systems, but you can also try manually setting it to your monitor's refresh rate. ![]() Q: The game runs at a choppy frame rate, even though I meet the recommended system requirements and can run other games smoothly.Ī: Try adjusting the Frame Rate in the Dispay Settings in the game. We promise Brevon didn't leave a virus on this!Ī: If you have a monitor with a refresh rate bigger than 60hz, try lowering it to 60hz or enabling Vertical Sync for your graphics card. For now select to ignore the warning and run anyway. Q: Windows says your file is a virus / corrupt / not from a known developer!Ī: We apologize, some builds of Windows 10 aren't reading the publisher file correctly and we're fixing this. If the menu still does not recognize your controller when attempting to change the inputs, try closing or disabling any external input programs such as Steam Input and vJoy as they sometimes interfere with the game's controller recognition. After starting the game, navigate to the Settings menu with the keyboard and select "Control Settings.", then in the controls menu, select "Device" until the device name matches the controller you want to configure. Q: The buttons all seem wrong! I can't set them!Ī: We recommend making sure all of your controllers are properly connected through USB before launching the game. Check it out while showing off to your friends that you're experiencing this cutting edge, razor sharp. That's right! Thanks to a successful Greenlight Campaign we have our store page up early and the Demo is also available on Steam.
